I'm Confused

I'm confused. If it is not a crime to be an illegal alien, then they must be legal aliens. Right? If it is a crime, then we have 11 million criminals running around our country. Talk about a crime wave. And on top of that, we have a zero conviction rate.

I'm also confused about the guest worker program. I don't quite understand the U.S. Senate provision that would permit "undocumented workers who live in the U.S. for five years an opportunity to become citizens, so long as they remain employed, learned English and paid any back taxes or fines they may owe." I assume that this would apply to al-Qaeda also.

And I was surprised to read in the paper this morning that Mexico shoots illegal aliens from Central America who sneak into Mexico. I can only assume that they have the same policy towards illegal aliens in the US. Explains why we have 11 million Mexicans who are afraid to go home.

Our Next President

George W has told us before that being President is hard work. I have no doubt that it is. The President works long hours, endures the heat of critics, and is relatively underpaid by today's corporate standards. And in looking over the potential candidates for the 2008 Presidential election, it seems very few Americans want the job.

And so I think the perfect solution to this situation is to elect an illegal alien to be our next president. Illegal aliens do the work that Americans don't want to do. And an illegal alien president will do the work that an American president doesn't want to do, like straigten out Social Security and Medicare, get us out of Iraq, creat jobs for the middle class, and balance the budget. They would have first hand knowledge on how to close our borders to other illegal aliens. And they would do the job for a fraction of what George W is paid. Seems like a win win situation to me.

Why I discriminate

A lot has been in the news lately about discrimination. I want to make it clear right here, that I only discriminate against assholes. If you think I am discriminating against you, then you should look in the mirror.

Case in point is Cynthia McKinney, the identity challenged Congresswoman from Georgia. I don't discriminate against her because she is black, or because she is a woman. I discriminate against her because she is an asshole. Any person, black, white, man, women, who is so insecure about his/her identity should not be holding a position of leadership in this country.

But she does bring up a good point. And that is the Capital Building security. For being a known target of terrorists, nobody should be allowed inside the building without showing proper ID. To expect Capital Hill police to recognize 435 congressmen at a glance is insane. The Capital Hill barbershop should send over photos every time a Congressman gets a haircut.
